Deadlines
5/31 – Programs submit number of entry requests by age group and gender to Jazmin Matos.
6/5 – SEA shares number of accepted entries with programs.
6/7 – Programs confirm their number of entries.
6/21 – Final entries and attending staff information submitted to Jazmin Matos. Payments made online. Programs must notify SEA if they want to request an early arrival (on Tues, 7/23). Additional fees of $30/person will apply. Staff must also let SEA know whether they would like to participate in the recreational or competitive draws in the staff tournament. If any students do not have US Squash Memberships, please submit the US Squash Account Update Form by this date as well. For information on creating new accounts, please read SEA’s US Squash Accounts Guidelines. After this date, there is a $15 fee per player for substitutions, and programs are responsible for half of the entry fee for any player or staff who drops out.
6/25 – SEA sends out rooming assignments and initial seedings based on US Squash rankings to programs.
6/27 – Programs submit rooming assignment edits and seeding petitions.
7/2 – SEA releases final seedings.
7/10 – Student and staff waivers due. Programs submit flight receipts for reimbursements and rosters on US Squash. Programs are responsible for full payment of any staff or students who drop out after this point.
7/15 – SEA releases final rooming assignments.
7/17 – SEA releases draws and weekend itinerary to programs.
Event Summary
Midwest Championships will include U13, U15, and U17/19 combined for both genders. All age levels will compete at Kenyon College’s 8 international courts. There will be an opening ceremony at 3PM and matches will begin at 4PM on Wednesday and end on Friday. Each participating player must have an up-to-date US Squash membership.
Program Fees
$80 room & board fee for every student
$50 room & board fee for every staff
$30 early arrival fee for every staff and student
$15 fee for entry changes submitted after 6/21
*Programs are responsible for half the entry fee for any player or staff drop outs after 6/21
$15 fee for changing rooming assignments after 7/5
$150 fee for losing a room key (charged by college)
*Programs are responsible for the full entry fee for any player or staff drop outs after 7/10
Online Payment
Housing and Food
SEA will provide housing and food for all programs at Kenyon College. Housing will be in the college dormitories, and meals will be served at the college dining hall. The first meal will be breakfast on Wednesday, but programs arriving early may request to join for dinner on Tuesday. Last meal is lunch on Friday.
Travel
SEA will reimburse $100 for student flights, for up to 10 students per program. Submit ticket receipts by email to SEA by 7/10. Programs will receive reimbursements after the tournament.
