Application Process

SEA accepts applications for membership throughout the year via an invitation process. Before submitting a written application, organizations are required to contact SEA to request permission and receive the application. The application review process lasts up to four months. Within one month of submission, applicant organizations will be notified if their written application has been approved, denied, or is pending approval based on questions arising from the application. If a written application is approved, a site visit will be scheduled by a representative of SEA. When reviewing applications, SEA reserves the right to make modest exceptions to its membership criteria and to consider factors that are not explicitly described in its membership criteria.
