Deadlines
6/11 – Programs submit number of entry requests by age group and gender to Jazmin Matos
6/13 – SEA releases number of accepted entries to programs
6/19 – Programs confirm their number of entries. Programs may also submit requests for additional spots that may become available if not used by other programs.
6/26 – Programs must notify SEA if they want to request an early arrival (before Fri, 7/27). Additional fees will apply.
6/26 – Programs submit entrant forms, attending staff information, and online payment to Stacy Maceda. Staff must let Stacy know whether they would like to participate in the recreational or competitive draws in the staff tournament. If any students do not have US Squash Memberships, please submit the US Squash Account Update Form to Stacy Maceda by this date. For information on creating new accounts, please read SEA’s US Squash Accounts document.
6/28 – SEA sends out rooming assignments to programs
6/29 – Programs submit rooming assignments edits to Stacy Maceda
6/29 – SEA releases initial seedings based on US Squash ranking
7/5 – SEA releases final rooming assignments
7/6 – Programs submit seeding petitions to Vir Seth. Programs submit flight receipts for reimbursements to Stacy Maceda.
7/12 – Programs submit student and staff waivers
7/24 – SEA releases draws and weekend itinerary to programs
7/27 – Tournament begins
Event Summary
Midwest Championships will include U13, U15, and U17/19 combined for both genders. All age levels will compete at Kenyon College’s 8 international courts. Matches begin on Friday and end on Sunday. Each participating player must have an up-to-date US Squash membership.
Program Fees
$80 room & board fee for every staff and student
$30 early arrival fee for every staff and student
$25 fee for entry changes submitted after 6/26
$10 fee for changing rooming assignments after 7/5
$150 fee for losing a room key (charged by college)
Online Payment
Housing and Food
SEA will provide housing and food for all programs at Kenyon College. Housing will be in the college dormitories, and meals will be served at the college dining hall. The first meal will be dinner on Friday, and the last meal will be lunch on Sunday.
Travel
SEA will reimburse $100 for student flights, for up to 10 students per program. Submit ticket receipts by email to Stacy Maceda by 7/4. Programs will receive reimbursements after the tournament.
