Deadlines
4/7 – Programs submit nominations.
4/14 – SEA releases acceptances to programs.
4/30 – Programs confirm whether students can attend.
5/21 – Students complete math assessment
5/28 – Programs submit a photo of student and students complete bio prompt
6/4 – Programs submit SEA Student Info Form, Guardian Consent and Waiver, COVID Waiver, online payment, travel information, and copies of physical exams and history of immunizations within 36 months before the start date of the camp.
6/9 – Programs submit student’s summer reading choice

Nominations
Players are encouraged to nominate their strongest players of all genders.

Participants
Number of participants: 15-20 middle school students
Ages: Current  7th-8th graders

Accommodations
Students will sleep in Kent School dormitories and eat in the Kent School dining hall.

Transportation
Programs are responsible for student’s transportation to/from Kent, and SEA will assist with transportation as needed. Due to COVID-19, we may have to restrict the camp to students within close proximity to Kent due to state travel restrictions. Upon arriving at the camp, all participants shall be screened for any observable illness and may be required to provide a negative COVID PCR test result. Programs are eligible for a $100 airfare subsidy per student, up to 5 total students.

Board of Health
This camp must comply with Connecticut’s Department of Public Health regulations and be licensed by the Office of Early Childhood. Parents have a right to review background checks, health care, discipline policies, and grievance procedures upon request.

Due to COVID-19, we anticipate that there will be changes as the situation evolves — we will get further guidance and comply with the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH).
