SEA’s 20th Individual Nationals took place at Berkshire School and Salisbury School from June 14-16, bringing together 350 players from 21 U.S. member programs and two international partners. As one of our network’s oldest and most cherished events, this three-day tournament featured an awards ceremony recognizing the winners of the Future Stars and Ty Griffin Student of the Year Awards, Booster Scholarship recipients, and a Saturday lunch with representatives from college squash programs and private schools. SEA students stayed in dorms, ate in the dining halls, and enjoyed the beautiful campuses of Berkshire and Salisbury.

In the A draws, Squash Urbano Colombia, New York’s CitySquash, and Boston’s SquashBusters led the way, winning two draws each. Squash Urbano Colombia captured the GU19 and BU17 divisions, CitySquash won the GU17 and BU13 draws, while SquashBusters, led by the Muyongo siblings, took home the GU15 and BU15 trophies. New York’s StreetSquash won the BU9 Draw, and Chicago’s MetroSquash won the GU13 draw.

Highlights from the tournament include a thrilling five-game final between Cincinnati’s Rona Asefa and SquashBusters’ Myra Muyongo, with Myra winning the GU15 title with a 12-10 victory in the last game. Another exciting match was the five-game semifinal in the BU19 draw between Rally Portland’s Le twins, where Tommy triumphed over his brother with a tight 12-10 win in the final game. In the GU19category, Squash Urbano’s Dailyn Simincas showcased her dominance by not losing a single game to claim the championship, and the BU19 champion Matthew Dayle demonstrated remarkable skill, dropping only one game before winning the trophy.

It’s an absolute pleasure to work with such passionate and hard-working students, and I feel fortunate to support their growth both as athletes and individuals.”
