Deadlines
3/18 – Academic Contest, Urban Squash Awards, and Scholar-Athlete information distributed to programs.
4/19 – Programs submit entry requests by age group and gender to Jazmin Matos.
4/26 – SEA notifies programs of the number of allocated entries in each division.
4/30 – Programs who would like to update player US Squash accounts must submit a US Squash Account Update Form to SEA by this date. For more information on creating new accounts, please read SEA’s US Squash Accounts Document.
5/3 – Submissions due for Academic Writing contest finalists, Urban Squash Award Nominees, and Scholar-Athlete student names to Sonia Gonzalez at sonia.gonzalez@squashandeducation.org
5/6 – Programs confirm how many allotted spots they are accepting.
5/16 – *Final entries and attending staff information submitted to Jazmin Matos, and online payment due. Programs must notify Jazmin Matos if they want to request an early arrival (before Fri, 5/16). Additional fees will apply. All submitted entrants must have passed the US Squash Referee Exam by this date. After this date, there is a $15 fee per player for substitutions, and programs are responsible for half of the entry fee for any player or staff who drops out.
5/17 – SEA sends initial housing assignments to programs
5/21 – **Programs submit rooming assignments changes to Jazmin Matos. SEA shares initial seedings.
5/23 – Programs submit the SEA student & staff waivers, the Williams student & staff waivers, and seeding petitions to Jazmin Matos. Programs are responsible for paying the full fee for any students ($70) or staff ($50) who drop out after this date.
5/31 – Ticket receipts due for flight reimbursements. Tickets must be bought by 5/31 in order to receive reimbursement. SEA sends revised seedings to programs.
6/4 – Informational Call with programs, 1PM EST
6/10 – Final tournament seedings and draws sent to programs and posted to US Squash.
*If players need to request later start times, programs must send these requests in a separate email to SEA at the same time they submit the entrant form. Exceptions will be granted rarely.
**Seedings will be based on US Squash ratings and rankings but consideration will be given to past performances within their age group.
Event Summary
Urban Individual Nationals will include U13, U15, U17 and U19 divisions for both genders. U13 and U15 will compete and stay at Williams College. U17 and U19 will compete and stay at Amherst College. Larger draws will include A and B divisions. Matches will begin on Friday at 4PM and end on Sunday at 2PM. Each participating player must have an up-to-date US Squash membership. Players must also have passed the US Squash Referee Exam (found in the Affiliations/Certifications section of each players’ US Squash account “Home” page).
Program Fees
$70 room & board fee per student
$50 room & board fee fee per staff
$30 early arrival fee for every staff and student
$15 fee for entry substitutions submitted after 5/16.
*Programs are responsible for half the entry fee for any player or staff drop outs after 5/16
$15 fee for changing rooming assignments after 5/23 (charged by college)
$75 fee for losing a room key (charged by college)

Online Payment
Housing and Food
SEA will provide housing and food for all participants at Amherst and Williams College. Housing will be in the college dormitories and meals will be served at the college dining halls. Meals will be provided from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch.
Travel
SEA will reimburse $100 for student flights, up to 10 students per program. Flight tickets must be purchased and sent to Jazmin Matos by 5/31. Tickets purchased and sent past this date will not be reimbursed.
