Number of participants: 26 current urban squashers
Ages: Current 9th and 10th graders

Selection Criteria and Process
Students should be nominated based on a high level of squash skill, serious commitment to improving their squash game, and an exceptional work ethic in squash training.

Event details
Friday, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm: Check-in
2:00 pm: Programs start
Monday, 2:00 pm: Check out

Mark Allen & his staff will oversee the training sessions. NUSEA will hire a 1 Squad Director and 1 Squad Manager from member programs to oversee NUSEA students during the program, as well as coaching during sessions. E-mail if you are interested in staffing the Virginia Squad.

Sleeping Arrangements
Students will sleep in University of Virginia dormitories.

Packing List
Students will need to bring clothing for 4 days of squash training, sneakers, court shoes, 1-2 racquets, protective eyewear, toiletries and casual clothing. Linen will be provided as well as pillows.

Students and staff will eat in the University of Virginia dining hall.

Squash sessions, of which there will be 1-3 each day, will take place on 9 courts at the McArthur Squash Center.

Spending Money
Students are required to bring $25 in spending money for evening outings or souvenirs.

Arrival Requirements
Students are required to arrive in at UVA no later than 12pm on Friday, July 17; students who cannot arrive by 12pm on Friday are required to arrive on Thursday and arrange accommodation. By Train: Amtrak to Charlottesville. By Air: to Charlottesville Airport.

Departure Requirements
Students must either be picked up by 2pm on Monday, July 20. Flights should be scheduled for 4pm at the earliest.
